The Engineering Department is located at stand number 711 Zvishavane Light Industrial Area, it is 500m East of Gweru road and is bound by the ZPS to the East, Runde RDC to the West, DDF to the North and Veterinary services to the far South. The Engineering Services department comprises of six sections, namely Town Planning and Inspectorate, Transport (mechanical), Water works, Plumbing and Sewerage section, Roads and Electrical section. The sections work harmoniously to achieve an ultimate purpose of providing efficient service delivery to Zvishavane community. Services provided by each section are outlined below:

The town is proud of having 160 low density residential stands in Mtonjeni and 208 medium density residential stands in Eastlea suburb to cater for both middle and high income earners.
There are over 1500 peri-urban high density residential stands being created and soon to be serviced under the Four Miles Scheme which is just 3km from the town CBD and over 8 000 stands in Mabhula High density suburb. These are meant to provide an efficient housing delivery system which caters for all classes of people.
There are 280 undeveloped light industrial stands with a minimum area of 600m². The stands are strategically located along the Masvingo Zvishavane Highway and close to Eastlea and Mandava suburbs thus arehighly accessible.
